Our client care representatives are the people with the friendly, compassionate faces you see when you first arrive at Hazel Ridge.
Redonda, Office Manager
Redonda is the “glue” that holds everything together at Hazel Ridge; she is very knowledgeable and highly skilled in all aspects of the clinic. Redonda earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Sacramento State University in 1986. She first worked at a dairy laboratory and began working in the veterinary field in 1990. She came to Hazel Ridge in 1998. Redonda enjoys being outdoors gardening and hiking. She is also an avid reader. Redonda shares her home with two cats, Leo and Woody, and the occasional abandoned fawn found on her property.
Crista, Client Care Director
Crista brings a friendly smile and an energetic personality to Hazel Ridge Veterinary Clinic. She came to us in 2017, bringing over 20 years experience as a veterinary receptionist. She is both very knowledgeable and confident with all things pet related; she especially loves dogs. Crista represents the very best of our practice standards and values and looks forward to assisting you with your pets’ veterinary needs. When not working, Crista enjoys spending time with her dogs, her husband and grown daughters. But her greatest joy is spending time with her young grandson.
Kaye, Client Care Representative
Kaye is both friendly and compassionate. Prior to working at Hazel Ridge she worked at the Folsom City Zoo and Sanctuary as a zoo keeper. Originally from London, Kaye is both attentive and detail-oriented. She is here to help you with scheduling, prescription requests, and any general information needs. Kaye enjoys home improvement projects in her free time. She has three grown children and four grandchildren. She and her husband share their home with two cats, GeeGee and Jeffy.
Ashley, Client Care Representative/Veterinary Assistant
Ashley brings her youthful enthusiasm to our group. She has a wealth of animal experience as her mother was the former head keeper at the Folsom City Zoo and Sanctuary. Additionally, Ashley also worked at the Folsom Zoo as a zoo camp counselor and volunteer. Prior to working at Hazel Ridge, Ashley worked at another local veterinary hospital as both a receptionist and veterinary assistant. When not working Ashley enjoys going to the river and trying new restaurants. She shares her home with her dogs, Spaghetti and Keebler, and her cat, Julie.
Zsa Zsa, Hospital Kitty
Zsa Zsa was originally a rescued kitten from River City Cat Rescue; she came to Hazel Ridge in 2009. Also known as “Wobble Kitty,” Zsa Zsa was born with cerebellar hypoplasia. She likely acquired the condition while in utero. Since she was born this way she compensates quite well and really doesn’t seem to know that she is any different. She enjoys a pampered life of demanding affection from the staff and stealing the doctors’ chairs when they are away from their desks.
“In order to keep a true perspective of one’s importance, everyone should have a dog that will worship him and a cat that will ignore him.”-Derek Bruce, Taipei, Taiwan
